Equities (Shares)

The term equities or shares are also very easily sold and bought. They are also considered to be a "liquid" stock. Shares are generally traded on a recognised stock exchange. When you purchase a share you buy a very small portion of the company. Why not ask our staff about setting up a share portfolio on info@paulryan.ie or on 01-4546730

Most pension funds invest in three main types of shares:

  • Shares quoted on a recognised Stock Exchange
  • Exchange Traded Shares (EFT) which is a share that is purchased when you are trying to match a movement on a chosen Stock Market Index
  • Indexed Funds which are collective investment funds that aim to match a movement on a particular Stock market
